The First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit has been extended a year for U.S. military, foreign service and intelligence personnel that served at least 90 days of extended service between January 1, 2009 and April 30, 2010. This also includes those that fell short of completing a full 90 days of extended service due to being shipped home for medical reasons.
This extends the deadlines for those people until April 30, 2011 to be under contract on a home and until June 30, 2011 to close on it.
